Vow Renewal
We are entering a month where a lot of weddings take place over many months of careful planning and not so careful by some. If you are not married and haven’t been proposed to yet, keep reading.
I would like to take you back to a marriage proposal God made to Israel and to us.
God wanted a relationship with a people like none other relationship. His eyes were on a people that he loved above any other so He called Moses and told him to tell this nation and people: 3 Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: 4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, 6 you[a] will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.”
7 So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the Lord had commanded him to speak. 8 The people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord. Read Exodus chapter 19
They answered as one man, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. That was their I do. Oh that there had been such a heart in them! Moses, as a mediator, returned the words of the people to God. Thus Christ, the Mediator, as a Prophet, reveals God's will to us, his preceptsand promises; and then, as a Priest, offers up to God our spiritual sacrifices, not only of prayer and praise, but of devout affections, and pious resolutions, the work of his own Spirit in us.
I am here today because God wants a covenant renewed with us, not just the renewing of our natural vows, but our spiritual vows. God set the scene for His proposal and laid things out to His bride (us). If you answered yes to God’s proposal then renew your vows and if you never answered now is the time to be married to the King.
Or those of you waiting on a proposal the Father said, “Create the setting in your mind how you want to be proposed to. Where you would like it to take place and what you will be wearing. Make sure he is dressed too. Just like your Father set the scene, so shall you.” This is a contract that should not be taken lightly.
“Remember your path is different from others, so stop comparing,” said the Father. You can love and have me and have the natural marriage.
In June your life must balance and bring forth a charitable heart.
Father thank you for you love and reminding us to look deep into our hearts at what we had purposed in our hearts as our vow to you. Renew our love and our vow to follow till eternity.
